About the role#
Texas Instruments is hiring Manufacturing Technician Interns to support our semiconductor manufacturing operations. This is a rolling internship opportunity based in Richardson, Texas. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and vendor documentation to isolate and repair malfunctions.
- Conduct technical tests and experiments for engineering teams within the wafer fabrication area.
- Monitor, audit, and provide guidance to line operators once products are on the line.
- Test new products and provide technical assistance to process development personnel.
- Work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Current enrollment in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in an electronics field, such as Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or Robotics.
- Understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC, and digital electronic theory.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble complex mechanical assemblies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
