    About the role#

    As an Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) Intern, you will work on projects related to environmental, safety, industrial hygiene, or ergonomics studies. You will join the ESH organization to address challenges within semiconductor manufacturing, including storm water, wastewater, air quality, waste management, and chemical or electrical safety. This role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing processes.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect and analyze data to assess potential risks to human health and the environment.
    • Work with manufacturing or facilities personnel to understand processes and associated hazards.
    • Use field equipment such as dosimeters, samplers, data loggers, and chemical testing kits.
    • Design and analyze risk mitigation solutions, including testing and equipment implementation.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and review applicable laws and regulations.
    • Estimate costs for equipment, installation, labor, and materials.
    • Research and develop solutions to mitigate ESH risks within the operating requirements of the facility.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a degree program for Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Safety, or Ergonomics.
    • A minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.
    • Strong time management skills to ensure on-time project delivery.
    • Ability to build influential relationships and take initiative.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Dallas, Texas.
    • This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
    • Texas Instruments will not provide visa or work authorization sponsorship for this position.
