About the role#
Data Hall Design produces the drawings used to build our fleet. As an intern, you will work in Revit and AutoCAD alongside our designers on liquid-cooled AI data halls. Your work will include rack elevations, row layouts, and cable pathway routing. You will also create reusable families and templates for reference designs. Your work will go through the same review gates as a full-time designer and will be included in a real drawing set before your internship ends.
What you'll do#
- Produce drawings for data hall builds.
- Work in Revit and AutoCAD on liquid-cooled AI data halls.
- Design rack elevations, row layouts, and cable pathway routing.
- Create reusable families and templates for reference designs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in architecture, architectural engineering, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, construction management, or drafting and design technology programs.
- Alternatively, 2+ years of prior work in drafting, architecture, or MEP design.
- Alternatively, military experience in drafting, engineering, or facilities (such as Army 12T, Air Force 3E5, or Navy/USMC engineering/facilities ratings).
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Ability to share samples of your work.
- Ability to read construction and equipment drawings, including plan, elevation, and section views.
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to travel to data center sites 1-2 times.
- Preferred: Revit family authoring or template work, BIM coordination exposure, data center or mission-critical facility exposure, BICSI coursework, Dynamo or Python scripting, and Bluebeam markup workflows.
