About the role#
TensorWave is hiring a People Operations Intern to support our team during a period of growth. You will gain hands-on experience in HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and internal communications. This role provides direct exposure to People Operations systems and mentorship from experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Manage end-to-end new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation scheduling, and first-week check-ins.
- Build and refine onboarding resources like guides and checklists.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys and pulse checks.
- Draft and distribute internal communications, newsletters, and policy updates.
- Create and update process documents, templates, and internal resource pages.
- Lead or contribute to special projects focused on culture-building and process improvement.
- Research HR best practices and compliance topics.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, with a focus on Excel and Sheets.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude and a desire to learn.
- Prior internship or coursework in HR is a plus.
