About the role#
This Nurse Extern II position provides clinical experience for senior nursing students. You will work within the med-surg department at MetroWest Medical Center. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care in a facility that includes a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
What you'll do#
- Assist Registered Nursing staff with daily patient care activities.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
What you'll need#
- You must be in the final semester of an accredited RN program in Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen, is mandatory.
- Proof of vaccination or an approved religious or medical exemption is required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
