About the role#
This Summer Internship Program in Commercial Banking provides an introduction to the lending and credit functions at TD. As an intern, you will work under the guidance of lead staff to support the bank's commercial lending operations. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to provide insight into the commercial banking industry.
What you'll do#
- Conduct in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers.
- Support the lending function by providing analytical support for moderately complex loans.
- Prepare insightful and timely approval memorandums for presentation to lending and credit authorities.
- Analyze financial statements, management profiles, business cycles, and cash flow to identify trends and assess credit risk.
- Participate in customer meetings and perform direct inquiries for specific information based on your research.
- Maintain credit files and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a post-secondary degree in a business-related discipline, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be work authorized in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship.
