About the role#
The Investment Banking Summer Associate Program at Santander CIB offers MBA students the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in New York. You will participate in a program designed to build technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills while supporting our corporate clients. The program begins in June 2027 and includes mentorship to help you navigate the organization and build professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Provide strategic advice to corporate clients to help them meet business objectives.
- Support the execution of transactions, including capital raises and company acquisitions.
- Develop long-term client relationships and craft growth strategies.
- Manage risks within a complex environment.
- Participate in initiatives across various industry and product teams.
- Work independently on special projects while contributing to team goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation date of May or June 2028.
- At least 3 years of prior work experience.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a results-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
