About the role#
As a Governance & Control Analyst Intern, you will support the manager in executing the team mandate within TD Life and Health. You will work alongside control partners, internal teams, and distribution channels to provide risk-based guidance that aligns with business goals. This role involves reviewing strategic initiatives, supporting regulatory filings, and assisting with the implementation of risk remediation efforts.
What you'll do#
- Provide risk-based advice and guidance for Life and Health products.
- Support the risk-based review of various strategic initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory filings and the implementation of controls.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations partners on risk identification and mitigation.
- Handle ad-hoc risk and regulatory tasks as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Undergraduate program, specifically in Business Administration.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with collaborative software such as WebEx and MS Teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
