About the role#
The Velocity Real Estate, Global Workplace Governance Internship is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto for the Winter 2027 term. You will support the Global Real Estate and Corporate Services department by maintaining workplace standards, tracking project documentation, and conducting research on design and sustainability trends. This role involves working across various internal departments and external partners to ensure projects align with business strategies and internal policies.
What you'll do#
- Maintain Global Workplace Standards, guidelines, and governance tools while tracking feedback and action items.
- Research workplace trends, design innovation, and industry practices to support the team.
- Coordinate deliverables from internal partners, architects, and consultants.
- Manage project documentation, including schedules, risk trackers, and status updates.
- Prepare presentations, business cases, and briefing materials for executive updates.
- Support meeting preparation, including note-taking and tracking follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with departments such as HR, Technology, Procurement, and Finance.
- Escalate risks or conflicting information to the Senior Manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to architecture, interior design, corporate real estate, business, project management, data analytics, or communications.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare clear written and visual materials.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Interest in workplace strategy, design, and governance.
- Experience with tools like Power BI, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is an asset.
