About the role#
This role focuses on professional relationship management and delivering financial advice within the agriculture and agri-food sector. You will join a Client Relationship Team to coordinate with expert advisors, aligning sales, risk policy, and market strategies to meet specific client needs. This position requires a collaborative approach to solving complex business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and generate leads for new and existing clients using your business development experience.
- Deliver financial advice to provide an exceptional client experience.
- Work with a core group of expert advisors to execute tailored client contact strategies.
- Manage portfolios and mitigate risk by reviewing financial statements, identifying trends, and assessing credit restructuring needs.
- Identify referral opportunities and connect clients with the appropriate internal partners.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial banking experience.
- Proven skills in client-centricity, business development, and relationship management.
- Ability to acquire new clients through pitching, cold calling, and generating referrals.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with digital banking, mobile applications, social media, and web-based meeting technology.
- A post-secondary degree in agriculture, commerce, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in commercial lending, credit risk assessment, and financial analysis is preferred.
- Specialized industry expertise in fields such as agriculture, healthcare, or real estate is an asset.
