About the role#
The Store Executive Intern program is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for store leadership. As an intern, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role by working closely with mentors and store managers. This program introduces you to multiple areas of the store, with a focus on leading teams, identifying business priorities, and delivering high-quality guest service.
What you'll do#
- Lead and align team members on daily business priorities.
- Work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to gain an understanding of their role and department management.
- Address team member concerns and remove operational hurdles to ensure smooth performance.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by engaging with customers and ensuring team members are empowered to assist them.
- Plan daily goals and organize tasks within the building.
- Partner with leaders to provide performance feedback, coaching, and training to team members.
- Review business reports and guest insights to troubleshoot and identify growth opportunities.
- Participate in internship program training, developmental opportunities, and events.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive work environment while adhering to company policies.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in working in retail management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to access all areas of the building, climb ladders, and lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Proficiency in learning and adapting to store technology and handheld scanners.
- Currently pursuing studies in Business Administration, Marketing, or Human Resources.
