About the role#
This is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for a future in store leadership. As a Store Executive Intern, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work alongside a mentor to understand retail business operations, develop leadership skills, and contribute to store goals. This program focuses on building your ability to lead teams, drive sales, and manage store priorities.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support daily store operations, including time on the salesfloor and in the backroom.
- Teach, coach, and train team members while providing timely performance feedback.
- Develop a guest-first culture by ensuring an exceptional shopping experience and addressing guest needs.
- Partner with mentors and other leaders to set daily goals, review business reporting, and troubleshoot operational opportunities.
- Participate in daily huddles and present priorities to the leadership team.
- Organize and execute daily tasks such as stocking shelves and building displays to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and secure culture while holding others accountable to ethical conduct and safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in retail management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Capacity to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and solve problems in an active environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidates should be pursuing studies in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Psychology, or Human Resources.
