About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, 40-hour per week internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our regional distribution center in Newton, North Carolina. This hands-on training program prepares you for a career in operations leadership. You will work closely with managers and mentors to understand the supply chain business and gain experience in leading a department.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support daily operations by working directly alongside team members on the facility floor.
- Maintain high standards for quality and inventory accuracy.
- Track key performance indicators including safety, quality, and productivity to identify gaps and drive results.
- Carry out process improvement initiatives to create efficient operations.
- Recruit and mentor team members while fostering an inclusive and safe work culture.
- Lead daily planning meetings and share pertinent information with your operational team.
- Conduct safety walks, audits, and performance coaching to ensure standard adherence.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Participation in school or extracurricular activities with experience in leadership roles.
- A strong interest in retail and supply chain facilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
- Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility.
