About the role#
This is an applied AI internship where the model output is the product. You will work on live problems within our AI recruiting tool, which handles candidate search, enrichment, scoring, and outreach. We use LLMs to process unstructured professional histories and rank candidates for our users. You will focus on building pipelines and evaluating the quality of the results to ensure they meet user needs.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve LLM workflows for extraction, scoring, and ranking using real product data.
- Design evaluations to measure output quality and determine if a change is an improvement.
- Turn messy, high-volume unstructured data into reliable structures.
- Improve retrieval and ranking systems to surface relevant results.
- Investigate incorrect or low-quality model outputs to trace the root cause.
What you'll need#
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Interest in applied AI, machine learning, LLMs, ranking, retrieval, or data systems.
- Experience building AI/ML, data, class, research, or side projects.
- Comfort working with messy data and evaluating output quality.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- This role is fully remote within the United States.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.

- We are looking for students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
