About the role#
Bild AI is seeking an AI/SWE Intern to help solve complex challenges in construction, such as blueprint reading, cost estimation, and permit applications. This role focuses on using computer vision and AI to make the construction of homes, hospitals, and schools more efficient.
What you'll do#
- Apply current computer vision, LLMs, and AI systems to address real-world construction problems.
- Ship prototypes quickly and iterate based on direct feedback from contractors and architects.
- Take sole ownership of your intern project, managing it from initial research through to production.
What you'll need#
- Experience as a 0-to-1 builder, specifically with AI models in production.
- A growth mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills characterized by empathy and honesty.
- A willingness to engage in the unglamorous, hands-on work required to solve industry problems.
- Applied experience with computer vision or machine learning.
- Interest in construction, architecture, or real estate.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in San Francisco, California.
- The term for this position is Summer 2026.
