    About the role#

    As an Environmental Science Intern, you will support our team on environmental assessments, permitting, compliance, remediation, and sustainability projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to field data collection, environmental regulations, and technical reporting while contributing to active assignments under the guidance of experienced professionals.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with environmental reports, assessments, permit materials, research, and project documentation.
    • Support field activities such as sampling, site observations, surveys, and data collection.
    • Help evaluate environmental conditions, compliance requirements, and potential mitigation measures.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • Completion of relevant environmental, science, engineering, or technical coursework.
    • Basic understanding of environmental principles and regulatory concepts.
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical research or data tools.
    • Preferred experience includes prior internships, co-ops, laboratory, field, or research work related to environmental projects.
    • Familiarity with GIS, environmental sampling, permitting, or modeling tools is a plus.
    • Involvement in environmental or sustainability professional organizations is beneficial.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based on-site in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
    • The term is rolling.
