About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Stratus, you will support engineers and designers working on power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems for infrastructure and building projects. You will gain exposure to electrical design principles, technical software, and project delivery while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and project documentation.
- Support the design and coordination of power, lighting, communication, and low-voltage systems.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
- Internship or co-op experience in electrical design is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical load calculation software is preferred.
- Involvement in IEEE or related professional organizations is preferred.
