About the role#
As an Electrical Designer Co-op, you will start your engineering career by contributing to real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience and work alongside a team of skilled professionals to apply your classroom knowledge to active engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams during various phases of project development, from concept to testing.
- Conduct technical research, data analysis, and simulations to support project goals.
- Build and test prototypes in coordination with senior engineers.
- Keep accurate project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution.
- Contribute ideas to enhance existing products or develop new solutions.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working on-site.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program or hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in the engineering field.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and software.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work on various projects.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
