About the role#
As a Farm Training Specialist Intern, you will help create and improve training programs and educational resources that support agricultural knowledge and farm safety. You will work with experienced professionals to develop content for agents, employees, and farm clients. This is a paid, part-time summer internship based in Indianapolis.
What you'll do#
- Develop training materials focused on farming and agriculture for agents and staff.
- Create resources for farm safety and health.
- Write and publish articles and communications related to the agriculture industry.
- Review and update current farm-related systems, processes, and materials.
- Help conduct training sessions on farming topics and industry practices.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Interest in building training curriculum and educational content.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn about farming and agriculture.
- Preferred majors include Agricultural Education, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, or Agribusiness.
