About the role#
This summer internship program offers 10 to 14 weeks of hands-on training at our Whitehall, Michigan campus. You will join our team to work on manufacturing issues and help ensure our products meet customer specifications. Throughout the program, you will work on projects designed to provide direct value to our business. At the end of your internship, you will present your findings to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. We use this program to evaluate students for potential entry-level openings.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with manufacturing challenges.
- Perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Participate in plant tours, lunch and learn seminars, and networking events.
- Complete and present business-focused projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Material Science engineering.
- Completion of at least sophomore-level coursework by May 2027.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent dimensional and analytical abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of root cause and corrective action analysis methodology.
- Previous internship, work, or research experience is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
