About the role#
Specter Aerospace is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control co-op to support the design and analysis of high-speed airbreathing testbed vehicles. This role involves working on projects from ideation through flight testing alongside experienced engineers and scientists.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of six degree-of-freedom (6DOF) simulations using C++.
- Conduct trade study analysis of algorithms, vehicle requirements, and CONOPS.
- Assist with flight testing activities for vehicle and algorithm development.
- Support the integration between company 6DOF simulations and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Strong understanding of engineering and math fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Previous professional or student team leadership experience is preferred.
