About the role#
Specter Aerospace is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) co-op to support the design and analysis of high-speed airbreathing testbed vehicles. This role provides exposure to technologies ranging from initial ideation through flight. You will work alongside experienced engineers and scientists on projects critical to the mission.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of six degree-of-freedom (6DOF) simulations using C++.
- Perform trade study analysis of algorithms, vehicle requirements, and CONOPS.
- Assist with flight testing activities for vehicle and algorithm development.
- Support the integration between company 6DOF simulations and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- A strong understanding of engineering and math fundamentals.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Previous professional or student team leadership experience is preferred.
