About the role#
Specter Aerospace is looking for a Front-End Software Developer Co-op to join our team for a 4-6 month cycle. You will build user interfaces, data dashboards, and control applications for propulsion operations. You will work alongside controls and propulsion engineers to support our experimental and flight vehicle programs. Co-ops here receive the same project ownership as our full-time staff.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement user interfaces to monitor propulsion operations and engine test facility controls.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to develop new features for existing facility GUIs.
- Support the integration of front-end applications with time-series and relational databases.
- Create charts, figures, and visualizations to display critical diagnostic data.
- Develop testing protocols for software shakedown, debugging, and validation of data pipelines.
- Manage assigned projects from the initial concept through implementation and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
