About the role#
Munich Airport NJ LLC is looking for a Software and Data Analyst Intern to join the team for the Fall 2026 semester. You will support the Facilities Maintenance department by managing data, building reports, and assisting with engineering tasks. This is a paid, on-site position based in Newark, New Jersey.
What you'll do#
- Develop and design interactive Power BI dashboards to present key metrics for the Facilities department.
- Create and optimize shared semantic models in Power BI using snowflake schema design.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from the Maximo database.
- Report data from Maximo and airport systems HMI software.
- Create Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) processes using infrastructure data.
- Handle daily supportive work and engineering tasks under management supervision.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Clinical Informatics, or a similar field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028.
- A total GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases like Microsoft SQL Server and an understanding of database design.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong programming skills in Python for statistical analysis and automation.
- Intermediate to advanced grasp of Operating Systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to learn and apply research, design, and application basics.
- Consistent, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
