About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in electrical and hardware engineering. You will work alongside engineering professionals on real projects. Your work will focus on new product development and sustaining engineering tasks for specialized test and measurement instruments.
What you'll do#
- Support new product development and sustaining engineering projects.
- Develop specialized test and measurement instruments.
- Perform electronic design using simulation software and firmware development.
- Conduct hardware level testing and debug of product functions.
- Assist with design for electromagnetic, safety, and wireless compliance.
- Gain experience with PCA schematic capture, layout design, and soldering techniques.
- Use NXP and ST-Micro MCUs for embedded systems engineering.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, OneNote, and Adobe PDF.
- Knowledge of C or C++ programming languages.
- Comfort working in both office and lab environments.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Shoreview, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (approximately 12 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
