About the role#
Space Kinetic Corp. is hiring an Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in El Segundo, California. You will work directly with our engineering teams to design and build prototypes for our core technology as we prepare for flight development.
What you'll do#
- Support the engineering team in designing and building hardware prototypes.
- Collaborate with vendors to source necessary components.
- Run finite element analysis (FEA) simulations for the system.
- Create detailed models for both our current prototype and the full-scale system.
- Develop software code for flight and ground applications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university in a STEM field, specifically Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software.
- Coding experience in C++, Python, or Rust.
- Knowledge of Dynamics and Kinematics.
- Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance.
