Manufacturing Engineering Internship

About the role#

Manufacturing Engineering Interns at Space Kinetic Corp. assist in engineering activities focused on design and process improvement. This role supports the engineering team in designing and building prototypes for core technology, contributing to the goal of achieving a flight demonstration. Interns work across various levels of the organization and participate in cross-functional project teams.

What you'll do#

• Support the engineering team in designing and building prototypes for technology development.
• Create layouts and detailed drawings for assigned equipment.
• Evaluate various equipment and methods, identifying their advantages, disadvantages, and production capabilities.
• Monitor process capabilities to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Recommend necessary purchase items for equipment maintenance.
• Stay current on new developments in equipment and processes to identify potential improvements for manufacturing.
• Contribute to and support other teams or individuals as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation (within the last semester) from a Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering program.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and electrical skills.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and learn quickly.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Must meet U.S. Government export regulation requirements (U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident) and have the ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance.
