About the role#
Space Kinetic is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in El Segundo, California. You will work directly with our engineering team to support the development of our TRL-5 prototype.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Assist in wiring the prototype, including sensors, motor drivers, and computers.
- Support prototype testing by collecting data and providing reports to the engineering team.
- Install sensors, set up test stands, and monitor equipment during operation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Practical experience working with electrical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a self-driven, growing startup environment.
- Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance.
- Compliance with U.S. Government export regulations, requiring U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or protected status.
