About the role#
This summer internship offers students the chance to apply academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing projects. You will work with the engineering team to contribute to initiatives that support our operational goals. Interns are assigned a specific project at the start of the summer and will present their findings at a final expo. You will be paired with a mentor and participate in networking events and community service activities throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test an interactive system designed for equipment troubleshooting and problem identification.
- Assist engineering and maintenance teams with daily equipment troubleshooting.
- Support the design, development, and testing of new or modified systems and components.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results.
- Create training materials and documentation for software and engineering processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
