About the role#
Allegion is seeking a Software Engineering, Quality Assurance Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Golden, Colorado. You will work with software teams focused on IoT-enabled security hardware, gaining exposure to mobile, API, and web application testing, as well as cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools.
What you'll do#
- Translate functional requirements and acceptance criteria into detailed verification test plans and scripts.
- Contribute to existing automated testing frameworks to improve software quality.
- Run automated tests in pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Gitlab, or CircleCI.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Systems, and Software Development teams throughout the development process.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, effective listening, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Resiliency and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
- A desire to learn and develop through hands-on projects.
