About the role#
As a Microservice Developer Intern, you will join a multidisciplinary team to build an integration framework for production print services. You will work with hosted and on-premise services to create a unified ecosystem. Your work involves developing and deploying new API-based, serverless, cloud-native microservices within an existing SaaS platform. You will focus on optimizing for security, performance, reliability, and cost, with the goal of taking services from development through to production for real customers.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deploy serverless, cloud-native microservices.
- Integrate existing hosted and on-premise services.
- Recommend solutions to technical problems and examine software alternatives.
- Contribute to project planning and process improvements.
- Document your work throughout the project lifecycle.
- Present a project summary to the executive team at the end of the summer.
- Apply your academic knowledge to meaningful projects under the guidance of a technical mentor.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS), C++, or similar languages.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to successfully complete required screenings prior to hire.
- Preferred experience includes REST APIs, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Agile Scrum, AWS Lambda, microservice development, and cybersecurity.
