About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Software Engineering internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Cypress, California, for 12 to 14 weeks. You will collaborate with experienced engineers in the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems line of business to gain hands-on experience with real-time, embedded, and analytical software applications.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, analyze, and test computer software using real-time operating systems.
- Support engineering staff with research, design, and documentation tasks.
- Develop procedures for software installation and maintenance.
- Interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Assist engineers with various assignments and perform tasks to learn company methods and programs.
- Provide regular status updates on your progress and complete assigned work on time.
- Support and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of an Associate’s Degree or at least 3rd-year status in an engineering curriculum.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain an active DOD security clearance.
