About the role#
You will work with experienced engineers to test backend services and APIs for PlayStation products. This co-op role focuses on improving product quality and reliability through manual and automated testing. You will learn about test strategies, automation frameworks, and CI pipelines while working in an agile team environment.
What you'll do#
- Write and maintain automation scripts to identify regressions.
- Contribute to functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Test APIs and microservices, including work with mocks and test data.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Identify testing gaps and improve overall test coverage.
- Create or improve scripts and tools to increase testing efficiency.
- Participate in team discussions and code reviews.
What you'll need#
- Exposure to software development or software testing.
- Coding experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
- Experience with tools like JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, or Postman.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A methodical approach and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in learning about backend service and API testing.
- Familiarity with source control, build tools, HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, or SQL is an asset.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
