About the role#
The External Partnerships team within Public Equities manages a range of hedge fund and equity strategies for our clients. We are looking for a student to join the team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work directly with team members to gain a practical understanding of how a global investment firm operates on a daily basis.
What you'll do#
- Build reports and tools that help portfolio managers improve the efficiency and transparency of our products.
- Assist the team in monitoring and assessing externally-managed investments.
- Research and develop quantitative models to support portfolio construction.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects and operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in investment management through extra-curricular activities.
- Programming experience, specifically with Python.
- Exposure to Bloomberg or Capital IQ.
- Intent to pursue the CFA designation is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
