About the role#
This is a full-time, 4-month summer internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Mortgage team to help manage a portfolio of approximately $7 billion in investments across Canadian, US, and UK markets. This role offers an opportunity to gain professional experience in mortgage investment underwriting and data management.
What you'll do#
- Review annual loans by completing rent roll updates.
- Process operating statements, including inputting tenant classification and market research.
- Manage and update loan information.
- Assist the team with mortgage investment underwriting and reporting.
- Identify and implement efficiencies within the mortgage portfolio.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with database programs like MS Access or SQL.
- Exposure to automated reporting tools such as PowerBI.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Effective communication abilities and attention to detail.

- This position is located on-site in Edmonton, Alberta.
- The term runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
