About the role#
We are looking for a Software Developer Co-op to join our team in Waterloo. You will work within the CAPE organization to build systems that help players discover, purchase, and engage with content across the PlayStation ecosystem. We focus on two main areas: Transact, which powers payments, and Nurture, which focuses on personalized content discovery. You will work on high-scale systems that handle significant concurrency and transaction volumes.

- Build and maintain systems that support millions of players worldwide.

- Create personalized content discovery and dynamic user experiences.
- Collaborate across Sony to shape how players connect with games.
- Work on high-scale systems with high levels of concurrency and transactions.
What you'll need#
- Experience developing software using Enterprise Java/J2EE, Web Services, REST APIs, and JSON/XML.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency with SpringBoot, testing frameworks, container technologies, and container orchestration.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience developing applications on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment using source control and bug tracking systems.
