    About the role#

    As a System Design Intern, you will join our design and production teams to build, prototype, and refine game mechanics and systems. You will contribute to international projects by participating directly in the creative and technical development process.

    What you'll do#

    • Help develop and balance game rules, progression systems, and the behavior of weapons or characters.
    • Integrate and configure gameplay elements directly into the game engine using internal tools and scripts.
    • Work with artists, programmers, animators, and level designers to ensure visual and technical consistency.
    • Write and maintain clear game design documents for production teams.
    • Participate in playtest sessions, analyze feedback, and propose solutions for improvement.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a program for Game Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Understanding of core game design principles such as gameplay loops, balancing, UX/UI, and pacing.
    • Experience with a game engine, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or a proprietary engine.
    • Familiarity with visual scripting like Blueprints or a programming language such as C++, C#, or Python.
    • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work well within a team.

    • Location: Quebec, Quebec, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Modality: On-site, five days per week.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
