    About the role#

    As a Tech Art Intern, you will use your creative problem-solving abilities to develop technical solutions for game development. You will work alongside artists and engineers to improve and expand content creation pipelines and tool sets. This is a 12-week full-time internship for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with artists and engineers on technical solutions.
    • Improve and expand content creation pipelines and tool sets.
    • Participate in the critique process and execute on feedback.
    • Manage time effectively while working on team tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a certificate, associate, bachelor, or master degree program with a graduation date between May 2027 and June 2028.
    • Ability to participate in a 12-week program starting in mid-May or mid-June.
    • Strong traditional art foundation and technical problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with 3D applications such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, or Substance.
    • Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal.
    • Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++ and object-oriented programming.
    • Understanding of production and tracking tools like Jira or Perforce.
    • A portfolio, reel, or Git repository demonstrating tech art projects.
    • Ability to communicate problems, solutions, and priorities effectively.

    Location & details#

    • This role is on-site at the Activision Motion Capture Studio in Playa Vista, California, or Raven Software in Middleton, Wisconsin.
    • Interns must reside in the US or be open to relocating.
    • This is a paid internship.
