About the role#
As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills to support the development of complex systems. You will work under supervision to assist with technical planning, system analysis, and risk management. This role focuses on learning and contributing to project tasks while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with requirements engineering, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) tasks.
- Support Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities.
- Help with system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management.
- Contribute to architecture and design development as well as technical monitoring.
- Participate in lifecycle management activities.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, practices, and system modeling or simulation tools.
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, systems design, and V&V principles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Preferred: Internship or cooperative education experience, certification in INCOSE standards, and experience with tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or MATLAB.
