About the role#
As a Systems Engineer I, you will support the development of systems that support national security and aerospace missions. You will apply foundational skills in requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification and Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will work under supervision to assist with technical planning, risk management, and decision analysis. This role requires a focus on learning and effective collaboration within a team.

- Assist with basic requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE tasks.
- Support technical planning, risk management, and decision analysis under supervision.
- Contribute to architecture and design development, technical monitoring, and project tasks.
- Participate in lifecycle management activities.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow your engineering skills.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- 0-2 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, practices, and system modeling or simulation tools.
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, systems design, and V&V principles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Preferred: Internship or cooperative education experience, knowledge of DOORS, Cameo, or MATLAB, and INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
