About the role#
As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills to support projects within the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Aviation, and Security business area. You will work under supervision to assist in technical planning, risk management, and system analysis. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the field of systems engineering.
What you'll do#
- Assist in basic requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification and Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tasks.
- Support system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management.
- Contribute to project tasks with foundational knowledge in architecture, design development, and technical monitoring.
- Participate in lifecycle management activities.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary team members.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of systems modeling and simulation tools, as well as multiple engineering principles and practices.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
- Knowledge of systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification, and V&V principles.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Preferred: Internship or cooperative education experience, familiarity with tools like DOORS, Cameo, or MATLAB, and INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
