About the role#
This position offers pharmacy students practical experience within a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned store while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role is designed to help you bridge your academic studies with real-world practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain strict privacy standards, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to support patient care.
- Improve your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Expand your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
