About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Toronto. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling term. You will support our pharmacy operations, focusing on automation, inventory, and prescription preparation to help us serve our patients.
What you'll do#
- Generate automation reports using Kroll pharmacy management software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches and perform machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Manage automation workflows to meet specific targets and schedules.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory at pre-specified levels and place orders for supplies or specialty items.
- Assist with inventory pre-count preparation and work with count vendors.
- Action drug recalls and help source alternatives.
- Follow established workflows to prepare packages for shipment and troubleshoot orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare medication orders, label over-the-counter products, and create blister packs or mixtures.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education.
- Previous pharmacy experience, specifically with Long Term Care.
- Experience using Kroll software.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions.
- Adaptability to work in different departments as needed.
- Ability to manoeuvre quickly and consistently for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Location & details#
- Location: 51 Gerry Fitzgerald Dr, Toronto, ON.
- Pay: $20.90 to $28.60 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Note: Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.
