About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned store while gaining exposure to the day to day operations of a pharmacy. The role focuses on patient interaction and learning the expanding responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent processes.
- Maintain visibility to the public while on duty.
- Learn the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
- Gain experience in drug therapy, disease state management, and patient counseling.
