About the role#
This position is based at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Milton, Ontario. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of an Associate-Owner while receiving training to support your academic development and prepare for a career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Welcome all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Provide health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Manage over-the-counter products and drug therapy information.
- Offer patient counseling support.
- Ensure all privacy requirements, including consent management and confidentiality, are met.
- Maintain visibility to the public while on duty.
- Engage in real-world training to understand the roles of a community pharmacist.
