About the role#
This pharmacy internship provides practical, real-world training within a community pharmacy setting. You will work under a local Associate-Owner while gaining experience in retail pharmacy management and patient care. This role is designed to prepare future pharmacists for success by bridging the gap between academic studies and daily practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet and acknowledge all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain strict privacy standards, including patient confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Engage with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Develop your knowledge of over-the-counter products, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Build skills in patient counseling and retail pharmacy operations.
- Learn about the expanding responsibilities of community pharmacists.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Pharmaceutical Sciences program.
- An interest in practicing pharmacy within a community setting.
- A focus on providing quality service to customers.
