About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Student position at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in London, Ontario. You will work in a community pharmacy setting to gain practical experience that complements your academic studies. This role provides an opportunity to learn how to manage a retail pharmacy and understand the evolving responsibilities of a community pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage patient privacy, confidentiality, and consent requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Improve your communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Build your knowledge of OTC products, drug therapy, disease state management, and patient counseling.
- Develop the skills required to run a retail pharmacy operation.
