About the role#
Neighbourly Pharmacy is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Student for the Earl’s Pharmacy team in Saskatoon. This role involves working with pharmacists, nursing staff, and physicians to provide care for residents in care homes and supported living groups. You will work 8 hours per week, primarily on weekends and statutory holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential for additional weekday shifts.
What you'll do#
- Fill, prepare, and label prescription refills.
- Manage medication changes for compliance packaging.
- Prepare care home orders for delivery.
- Handle billing and adjudication.
- Perform compounding tasks.
- Communicate with nursing staff at care homes.
- Locate medication, select containers, and pour medication.
- Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks.
- Ensure all prescription containers and labels are verified and initialled by the pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PharmD program at any level.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A professional attitude and the ability to communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Previous retail pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Experience with Kroll software is an asset.
