    About the role#

    The Engineering Co-op Program is a 15-week initiative hosted by the Engineering Department. You will work with site Engineering Managers on daily tasks and special projects to support departmental goals. This role is based at our robotics facility in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and begins in May 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the installation, programming, integration, and optimization of robotic and automated manufacturing systems, including robots, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and vision systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
    • Assist with automation projects, equipment startups, commissioning, production launches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as electrical schematics, control system drawings, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to implement automation solutions.
    • Adhere to industrial safety standards and safe work practices when operating equipment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a college or university, pursuing an Engineering degree with sophomore standing or higher.
    • Major in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Minimum age of 18 years.
    • At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products.
    • Previous experience in a team-oriented setting.
    • At least one year of experience in a leadership role or supervising others.
    • At least one year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations function, or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Engineering Development Program.
    • Previous internship or Co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division.
    • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.

    • Term: Summer 2027 (15 weeks).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Status: Full-time and paid.
