About the role#
The Operations Intern program is a summer assignment based at our Columbus, Ohio facility. You will work directly with the Operations Manager to assist with daily tasks and special projects. This role is designed to provide exposure to manufacturing and distribution operations while supporting team goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning daily work schedules.
- Support site safety programs.
- Work with the filling department as needed.
- Learn inventory, routing, and shipping procedures.
- Review the quality of production orders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and site events.
- Take part in early career development programming, including workshops and networking opportunities.
- Handle special projects as identified by the Operations Manager.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current junior or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Operations, such as Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting, such as work, extracurricular activities, or military service.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
