About the role#
The Quality Intern role is a 10-12 week assignment based at our Morikis Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. You will work directly with the Quality Manager to support daily operations and specific projects. This is an on-site, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Quality Manager with daily tasks and special projects.
- Learn our quality systems, tools, processes, metrics, and standards.
- Identify process and formula changes required for the successful manufacturing of existing formulas.
- Complete three training programs: Microbial Control Program, Institutional Test Methods, and Minitab & Basic Statistics.
- Gain familiarity with the New Product Launch and Pipeline Process, including Ship to Hold audits, test batches, institutional calibration methods, and the calibration database.
- Perform routine testing on paint and raw materials.
- Participate in early career development programming, such as workshops and networking events.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and site events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program.
- At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented setting, such as work, extracurriculars, or military service.
- Rising or current junior or senior status at the start of the program.
- Previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience is preferred.
